Following a successful application to the Community Ownership Fund of the Ministry of Housing, Communities and Local Government for £550,000, pledges from Torbay Council and Brixham Town Council of £60,000 each and a great fundraising effort from the community, work began on 19th August with Dyson Construction Ltd to undertake the vital repairs needed to keep Shoalstone safe to use for the community and all its visitors.
