The Heart Campaign is hosting a public meeting at 5.30pm on the 24th November at the Imperial hotel in Torquay to give an update on what they have discovered about the threat to the cardiology services and services generally at Torbay Hospital and their activities in protest.
The meeting will provide:
- An overview of the current situation
- Details of the planned public demonstration
- Information on how the community and local businesses can show support
- A short Q&A session
There is a threat to the cardiology services at Torbay Hospital and residents are fighting to save the department in its entirety through ‘The Heart Campaign’.
Torbay’s cardiology department is amongst the best in the country but lives are at risk if the service is transferred to Exeter. Currently, Exeter does not have the capacity to cope with its own current workload, let alone extra from the Torbay catchment area.
