Tragedy affects people in different ways. Debbie Chant had a double blow when her husband of 33 years, Tim Chant, died on 26th June 2023 closely followed by her Dad, Mike Steer on 12th July.

Debbie is immensely grateful to Rowcroft Hospice for the care and support they provided during these difficult times and is now aiming to raise £50,000 for the Hospice through various activities.

Tim Chant was Inter-Line Brixham’s driver for 5 years and is greatly missed – he encapsulated service with a smile and nothing was too much trouble.

As Neil Robinson, Finance Director at Inter-Line said; “From all of us that were fortunate enough to know Tim, often said but never more true, he was one of the nicest guys you could ever meet. Keep going Debbie, what you and Team MT are doing is amazing”.

In celebration of Tim’s life and to help Debbie raise more funds for Rowcroft, Inter-Line are holding a sponsored ‘Pulling Together for Tim’ lorry pull at Rowcroft Hospice in September, with six teams from Inter-Line, Rowcroft and the RNLI Torbay –  all pulling together to raise funds.

It’ll be a real family and friends event with a lucky mascot Honey – Tim And Debbie’s dog – together with music, food and drink, all to celebrate Tim’s life and give thanks to him for being a great addition to the Inter-Line Brixham team for 5 years.

With a contribution from Bays Brewery to help raise even more pennies, there’s also an Inter-Line  ‘Super 7 Suppliers’, who have donated £250 each including headline sponsor, Siniat, together with Mannok, Knauf Insulation, BMI Redland, Marley, Sika and Velux plus local suppliers, Slim Design who provided the hi vis vests and Scan Safety who have provided the gloves for the ‘pullers’.

As Neil said; ‘It’s been fantastic how everyone has literally pulled together to help this campaign, so please support as generously as you can.
