Open Meeting – 30th June, 7pm, Berry Head Hotel

Join us for our latest open meeting on Tuesday 30th June from 7pm-9pm at the Berry Head Hotel.

This month’s speakers:

• Offshore Shellfish Did you know that Brixham is the base for Europe’s largest mussel farm? The Holmyards will be talking to us about their journey from Scotland to the South West, and the logistics and challenges they face.
  
• Green Top Markets are based in South Wales but expanding their craft markets into towns in the south west. Recently they have begun a trial of markets on Fore Street on seven Fridays this year. Their director Gareth will be joining us to talk about their plans and how the trial is going.
  
• Shoalstone Pool is close to reopening! Jessica Stock will be updating us on the final maintenance plans – or hopefully about the grand reopening! And their plans for the season ahead.
  
• Coffee, conversation, community – Our Chamber is starting an informal and friendly breakfast group. We will be introducing this concept to members (the first meetup will be 7:30am on 9th July at the Bay Coffee Company).
  
• Member Update Margaret Greenman of Utility Warehouse is one of our newest members. She will be introducing herself and talking about how she can help residents and businesses.
  
• Brixham developments update We will round off the meeting with an update from Emma Falconer and David Carter, from Torbay Council, on the current status of the projects in Brixham (including central car park and Oxen Cove developments).
