Join us for our latest open meeting on Tuesday 21st April from 7pm-9pm at the Berry Head Hotel.
This month’s speakers/topics include:
- Brixham Beacon – This new newspaper is into its 5th edition, and has been a hit new publication. Simon will be coming to talk about the decision to start the paper, the journey they have been on so far and their plans for the future. And no doubt making some new contacts for future material!
- Employment Law – The recent changes to employment law, including sick pay for all employees, are some of the most significant changes for employers for many years, and directly will impact many of our members. We are very grateful to Alison from Enlighten HR, who has agreed to come and talk to us about some of the key changes.
- Scurvy Seadogs – With Pirate Weekend just around the corner here in Brixham, the organisers of the Pirate Festival will be here to update us on their plans, give some insights into the events this year and rattle some sabers. Ye be warned…
- Member Update – One of our newest shops, and a brand new member, Into The West is a new bookshop opening on Middle Street. Simon and Cate will be here to tell us their story.
Our open meetings are open to everyone. You might be a member, or a non-member business, or a local resident interested in the topics under discussion. If you plan to come, it is helpful to let us know in advance at hospitality@brixhamchamber.co.uk.
We look forward to seeing you!
