The Milligan Foundation, which supports charities working in areas of the UK where Milligan Ltd is involved in a development project, has launched a new fund.

The aim of the fund is to plant seeds of opportunity within worthy causes at the heart of local communities, empower people of all ages, and create lasting change through the provision of expertise and education, or improvements to skills development or facilities.

Focus areas:

  • Arts and culture
  • Education and employment
  • Climate and nature
  • Food action
  • Mental health and wellbeing
  • Neighbourhood
  • Physical health and sport
  • Povery and homelessness
  • Sustainable consumption and production

Their initial ‘launch fund’ focuses on Torbay, where Milligan Ltd is delivering a number of regeneration projects in partnership with the council and Willmott Dixon, and is open to applications from local community groups, registered charities, social enterprises, and community businesses.

Individual grants of between £3,000 and £5,000 are available and the deadline for applications is Saturday 31 January.
